updates.

I took Blake back to the doctor yesterday because he just wasn't getting better.  He has been sick on and off since February 13th!  I actually emailed our pediatrician on her day off and she came in at 9am to see him.  Hello, she is AWESOME!  She said his lungs sounded clear, but she wanted to test for RSV and some other viral things.  He had to have blood drawn.  He did great.  She called yesterday afternoon and said his white blood count was elevated and made her think he was fighting a bacterial infection rather than a viral one.  She is treating him like she would a pneumonia since his cough is so bad and his fever has lasted for so long.  We are two days into antibiotics and I am seeing glimpses of my little boy again!!  Woohoo!  He is much more energetic and smiley today and I couldn't be happier.  On another note, my grandmother (mom's mom) went to the hospital on Wednesday with rectal bleeding and just found out she has colon cancer.  The woman just can't catch a break!  BUT, the doctor feels like they caught it early and surgery to remove a foot of her colon should do the trick.  She is super strong and has already beaten cancer once, so we know she can do it again!  Say a little prayer for her!  And my mom, for that matter.  She has had quite the emotional week.  It started with me telling her that we are moving to Salado.   Yep, you read that right.  I said I would NEVER move from our current house, but we have decided that we want our kids growing up in a smaller town.  Aubrey's elementary is fabulous, but RRISD currently has 44, 590 students.  Salado has 1,354.  Yep, you read that right.  We just think it is the best decision for our family, so we're gonna roll with it.  It has been a stressful couple of weeks, but we are staying positive! but....TGIF!!!!

Congrats on your upcoming move! That's one of the main reasons we moved from Fort Worth--smaller town, better schools, etc. Good luck with everything. I am glad Blake's feeling better after the antibiotics. :)
