what are you eating Addy?

Just some non-toxic, Chinese made watercolors, mommy...

I guess if I were two and my sister pulled all the watercolors off the tray, I would think they were candy too...

I'm just wondering if she'll have pretty pink poo...

Happy Birthday GGDada!

GGDada and Nanny came up last week and stayed for a few days. We had an awesome time just hanging out and trying to stay warm. We hit up the Amana Colonies, once again, for the Prelude to Christmas festivities. Come to think of it, it seems like the only activities we participated in were holiday shopping and eating...it was fun!
It was chilly out there...

Aubrey was ready for the Chocolate Haus...or maybe that was me??

She was proud of her giant snowball...yes, we visited another fudge shop...

Finally! A picture with everyone facing the camera! :)

Aubrey was warming her feet by the fire (at the restaurant)...

Off to make more snowballs...

Examples of the awesome gingerbread house contest participants at the Amana General Store:

Nanny and GGDada drove back to Chicago on Sunday, just in the nick of time! School was canceled here today because of the icy roads! We're glad they made it back safely and we can't wait to see them and the rest of our family in a couple of weeks!!

Dear Uncle Chad,

You left your rockin' retro wayfarers when you left.
Mommy said she'll mail them just as soon as she learns how to drive on a solid sheet of ice.

Could we please have a Texan discount...

because this SOUTHERN GAL ain't gonna drive Aubrey across town to school on days like today?!?!?!

sNOw more, mommy!

On the way into Aubrey's school this morning, I was holding Addy and I said that it was cold outside. She said, "No cold, it freezing!" She is not a huge fan of the snow. Aubrey, on the other hand, seems to enjoy it. These pictures are from our attempt at snow play on Sunday. As you can see, their faces describe their feelings...

Addy had enough after just a couple of minutes. It took us about 2 minutes to drive home from the park, and she was passed out by the time we got there...I guess that 6 minutes of playing was hard work:

Yes, I am in the process of ordering her a larger carseat if you are wondering...

**4 stars**

Since our outdoor activities are coming to an end (we tried playing in the snow yesterday and only lasted 6 minutes), I took the girls to see Bolt this afternoon.

Aubrey has a minor (ok, it's a major) obsession with dogs, so she definitely gave it two thumbs up. I was entertained throughout the entire movie, and I would recommend it as a must see, even if you don't have little kids. :)

Note: I got a new cell phone with a 5 megapixel Kodak camera built in, so now I'll have pictures from all over the place! :) Yay!
